Badam Saat rules

The aim

Be the first player to play all of your cards onto the layout in the middle of the table.

Dealing

Deal the whole deck out, one card at a time. Saat means seven, and the game is named after the seven of hearts, the card that starts it.

Starting the game

Whoever holds the seven of hearts plays it first, in the middle of the table.

Building the layout

Each suit is built as its own row, starting from that suit’s seven. Any seven can be played to start a new row. After that, cards go on one at a time outward from the seven: down through 6, 5 and 4 to the ace, and up through 8, 9 and 10 to the king.

On your turn

Play one card that fits on the layout. If you have a card that fits, you must play one. If nothing fits, you pass.

Winning

The first player to run out of cards wins.
